Boost Your Targeted Traffic

By: John P Haskel Today we're going to cover a few different ways for you to get targeted traffic to your website or landing page. While there are loads of different ways to get traffic to your website, by following the techniques listed below you will be able to boost your traffic as well as increase your search engine ranking For your targeted keywords.

The first and most obvious way of getting targeted traffic to your site is using Google adwords. While signing up in using adwords is very simple, using it the wrong way can end up costing you more money than you have budgeted for your advertising. Before you start with adwords make sure you have done your research. There are many e-books that you can find online that can show you how to use adwords properly. Do not just jump in and start running ads without the right information. This can be costly mistake!

Now, if you're looking to get organic search engine traffic you need to make sure your website or web page is properly optimized for the keywords you're trying to target. Again this means doing research to find out how many times your keyword or keyword phrase should be listed on the page. And of course you can find e-books online which cover this also, or you could hire a search engine optimization firm.

A great way of driving traffic to your site without you having to do much work it all is by using joint ventures. A joint venture is when you can get other people to advertise your site through their lists or other advertising methods and you simply pay them a commission on sales they generate. And of course if they fail to create any sales you do not need to pay them. The common percentage for joint ventures is to pay out approximately 50 percent in commission's.

Another tried and true method of generating traffic is by posting comments in blogs and forums. This has been a method that has worked for many years in the past and will continue to work for many years in the future.

When it comes to commenting on blogs you are required to enter your name, but instead of entering your name enter your targeted keyword. Be sure to enter your website URL you're trying to promote in the website section. Now, every time you leave a comment on that blog you're building a link. One thing you want to avoid however, is placing another link to your site within the comment itself. Many blog owners will simply delete a comment if there is a link inside the comment.

Most forums will not allow you to place a link in the comment or question that you post on their site. They will however allow you to place links in your signature file. Then you can set your signature file to appear every time you post a comment or question. Which means, every time you ask a question or leave an answer to someone else's question you will be building a link back to your site. You should of course enjoying as many forums as you can and post on each one at least once a day.
